Broadbeach is preparing itself to host one of the region's biggest music events, with more than 85,000 visitors expected throughout the course of the festival.
The Blues of Broadbeach Music Festival will run from May 23-26 and this year has managed to draw in more big names than ever.
The 2013 line-up includes the likes of Claude Hay, The Ray Beadle Band and Gail Page, while Jesse Valach and Blues Mountain Trio will be appearing at the event for the first time.
Attendees can even download a dedicated app this year to improve their experience of the festival, as it includes information such as artist profiles, performance times and interactive maps.
Chief executive officer of the Broadbeach Alliance Jan McCormick said that organisers thought an app would be necessary for this year's event.
"The Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival continues to grow every year and with the incredible line-up we have put together we see people fly from across the country to be a part of the excitement," she commented.
Festivities such as this are usually a consideration for people looking at Broadbeach real estate – a strong sense of community is often a factor that sways potential buyers.
Blues on Broadbeach is a free event that features six outdoor stages and a number of venues throughout the Broadbeach precinct.
